Changing a Website Colour Scheme

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

I spent a few hours this morning changing the colour scheme of the CM Film Productions website. CM Films is based in Perth, Western Australia. They make documentaries and dramas usually for TV. You can see their stuff on ABC. “My Asian Heart” is a one hour documentary on the life and work of photo-journalist Philip Blenkinsop, directed by David Bradbury, and produced by Carmelo Musca. It will be screening on SBS Sunday 9.30pm during the first week of August.

Originally the CM Films site was authored in electric green, but because of the onset of winter and also in keeping with CM Films’ new corporate (but fun) look, we decided to make the site blue.

Changing the colour scheme of an existing website can be done in a morning with new files uploaded and ready by lunch time. This whole job took just under 4 hours. It was a matter of collating existing graphics and changing their colours to suit the new scheme. A company logo had to be married into the new look.

A standard website colour scheme change like this can be done for $350.

Website Makeover for CCP

Friday, March 12th, 2010

We’ve come a long way and I’ve finally made the new CCPWA website live.

You can see it here.

It was tricky getting the project galleries working pixel-perfect but now everything is full steam ahead and it looks dreamy. CCP’s Administrative Assistant, Erin Tagliaferri was pretty much Project Coordinator by proxy on this job. She quickly learned a bit of code and even modified some visual aspects of the site layout while it was in development.

I had a lot of fun making this site and I want to personally thank Erin for all her support and positive (and constructive) feedback. Thanks Erin.

I hope Camille likes it, too. ;)
